The session encouraged attendees to view the voice not merely as a technical instrument, but as a complex ecosystem connected to the body, nervous system, emotions, identity, and learning processes. Particular attention was given to the role of empathy, communication, and psychological safety in effective voice training. Participants also gained insight into trauma-informed approaches to voice work and their practical applications within pedagogical settings. The webinar addressed the importance of recognizing diverse vocal expressions, including extreme vocal techniques, as legitimate areas of voice pedagogy. Attendees left with a broader understanding of how teaching methods, feedback, and interpersonal relationships can influence vocal development and self-expression. The event was met with great enthusiasm and inspired valuable discussions on the future of holistic and evidence-informed voice education.

The programme included:
an online lecture focused on conscious artistic decision-making in performance,
and intensive in-person workshops combining lecture-based sessions with masterclass work.
The central focus of the workshops was the relationship between interpretation, vocal technique, and the development of artistic identity. Participants took part in both the online lecture and the intensive in-person workshops in Gliwice, where they worked on repertoire primarily in a masterclass format. The programme covered topics such as acting through singing, belting, breath work, and building an authentic stage presence.
During the masterclass sessions, participants developed their ability to connect vocal technique with emotional expression and conscious artistic choices. The event created a space for exchanging experiences, observing the creative process, and gaining new pedagogical and performance tools.
-
During the workshop, participants explored techniques such as mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive defusion, which allow performers to distance themselves from paralyzing thoughts about mistakes and free up the energy necessary for Peak Performance. Juncos promoted a transdisciplinary approach, encouraging vocal teachers to act as performance coaches who can support their students' mental resilience without overstepping into the role of a psychotherapist.
The training also included practical exercises, such as meditation using a picture frame and word repetition, aimed at weakening the negative impact of anxiety on artistic execution.

Being taught styles such as soul, jazz, blues, and R&B by Trineice Robinson-Martin was a great honor! She is currently one of the most sought-after specialists in Black American styles in the world. During the lecture, masterclass, and group workshops, we delved into the secrets of rhythm, intention, improvisation, and storytelling of these remarkable musical styles.
We also received a powerful dose of knowledge from an expert in the practical application of acoustics knowledge in the voice studio - Chadley Ballantyne. He is a master at conveying complex concepts in simple ways - our voices discovered new powers!
Two amazing Polish women from whom we learned in Gliwice were Paulina Kujawska, who energized us first thing in the morning with a presentation on the connection between voice and body, and Dominika Płonka, who during demonstration lessons revealed the secrets of mix and belt on high notes, so we could more easily give vent to our vocal expression!
- Dr. Trineice Robinson-Martin (USA) – Rhythm, Intention & Conviction: The Understanding and Application of Vocal Parameters for Soul Expression in Black American Music – lecture Getting in the groove: Style Conditioning for Gospel, Jazz, and R&B – workshop

The “The Power of Vocal Distortions” workshop with Fernando Zimmermann was an advanced vocal training event designed for singers and teachers interested in contemporary commercial vocal techniques. The workshop was delivered in two parts: an online theoretical segment and an intensive live in-person segment in Gliwice, Poland.
In the online portion, participants explored the theoretical foundations of mix technique, coordination and stabilization of laryngeal muscles, as well as practical exercises like messa di voce and vocal glides to support effective voice development.
The live workshop focused on hands-on practical training:
- multiple masterclasses and group lessons,
- transitioning from mix to belt with strategies for stabilization,
- technical work on laryngeal muscle coordination, breath management, and tongue tension reduction,
- recognizing and applying different vocal qualities for expressive interpretation,
- working on pop/rock repertoire with attention to stylistic and technical detail.

The workshop with Matt Edwards was an intensive training designed for singers and voice teachers working in contemporary commercial music.
The online session on March 16, 2025, focused on the theoretical and technical foundations of mix technique and its coordination from a motor learning perspective. Participants explored the structure of the learning process, exercises such as messa di voce and glides, and strategies that support the transition toward skill automaticity.
The live workshop, held on March 21–23, 2025 in Gliwice, offered more than fourteen hours of hands-on work. It included multiple masterclasses, exercises for transitioning from mix to belt, laryngeal muscle coordination, phonation balance, tension reduction, and breath management. Participants worked on different belt qualities, developed vocal strength, endurance, and flexibility, and explored stylistic interpretation in pop/rock repertoire.
